The month of November is NaNoWriMo—National Novel Writing Month—and this year our 8th graders accepted the challenge and had stellar results! In total between the two classes we had 1,002,530 words written. Out of 38 students, 25 of them completed the challenge of writing a 30,000 word story in a month. We’re super proud of all the 8th graders who worked hard and pushed themselves on this project. It takes a lot of work to write a novel!
The 8th graders who completed their novels despite some challenges and hurdles, deserve a special commendation. We applaud all their hard work, focus, discipline, and determination.
