Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive

Each year at this time we have our annual food drive for Annunciation Parish and School, our sister parish. We were able to serve over 85 families last year and are hoping to serve even more this year.

Many of the people of Annunciation Parish are not financially able to provide a traditional Thanksgiving dinner for their families. The families at Annunciation rely on our generosity so that as many families as possible can receive a food basket, thus ensuring that needy families can enjoy a good holiday meal.

The event will conclude Thursday, Nov. 19th. Please contribute to this event with donations for your student’s grade. Thank you in advance for being as generous as possible.

There is a “friendly” competition between homerooms, teachers and staff. Points are awarded to each homeroom and teachers and staff on the number of items brought in. The winning class will receive an out of uniform day that will be determined later.

Below is a list of what each grade is asked to bring:

  • K- Beans (Pinto, Black, Lentils)
  • 1st- Rice (Brown and White) & Macaroni & Cheese
  • 2nd- Flour, Sugar (Brown & White)
  • 3rd- Peanut Butter & Jelly
  • 4th- Canned vegetables (corn, peas, green beans, yams, sweet potatoes)
  • 5th- Chicken Broth, Salt, & Pepper
  • 6th- Mixes (Pancake, Biscuit, Corn Muffin, Stuffing, Gravy)
  • 7th- Dessert (Marshmallows, Jell-O, Cake Mix & Frosting, (Low-Sugar) Syrup)
  • 8th- Disposable Turkey Pans, Cooking Oil, Lard
  • Teachers/Staff – Dish Soap, Hair Shampoo & Conditioner, Hand Soap, Toilet Paper, Toothpaste, Toothbrushes.
