Faculty Spotlight: Debra Whetstone

posted in: Faculty & Staff

Dear Shrine of Saint Anne’s School Community,

I am so excited for the opportunity to join the faculty in the upcoming 2017-2018 school year. My name is Debra Whetstone and I have been a teacher for 24 years with the Jefferson County School District. I have experience teaching grades Kindergarten through Sixth grades and some added supervisory educator experience.

I hold a Bachelors in Education from Colorado Christian University and a Masters through the University of Colorado. My emphasis in Curriculum and Instruction and English as a Second Language, provides me with added skills that benefit the needs of all students.

I live in Arvada where my family and I serve the community in a variety of roles in City Government. In addition, I have a few family members that benefited from the exceptional, educational experience provided by Shrine of St. Anne’s School.

This is my home Parish and the faith community I grew up with. I have two children that have families of their own now but remain an important part of my life.

My interests include music , history, travel and University work.

I look forward to contributing to the Shrine of Saint Anne’s community of learners and to meeting all of you soon.

Sincerely,
Debra Whetstone
