GENERAL INFORMATION REGARDING ADMISSIONS

Application for admission to Shrine of St. Anne Catholic School indicates a willingness to be committed to the first priority of our school….being a Christian community witnessing to the Gospel message of Jesus Christ. This commitment calls for active involvement in and support of both one's church community and the school community. This active involvement and support at both the church level and the school level is an expectation of all who request school enrollment for their children.

TUITION FOR 2010-2011

There are two tuition rates:

  1. One rate for practicing Catholic families who are fully affiliated with a parish. This means much more than just being registered in a parish; full affiliation is clearly defined below.

  2. One rate for Catholics who are not fully affiliated with a parish and non-Catholics.

1. TUITION FOR FULLY AFFILIATED CATHOLIC FAMILIES

The first priority of our school is to provide a Catholic education for Catholic families who are fully affiliated with a parish. Full affiliation means being registered and actively and regularly involved in the life of their parish. Because of this priority, a reduction in tuition is available for those families who fit the following criteria:

  • REGULAR attendance at Sunday Mass.
  • REGULAR financial contributions to the parish using the parish envelopes.
  • PARTICIPATION in the various ministries of the parish.

If the above criteria are met, a Parish Verification form must be obtained from the school office. The form is available for you to pick up in the school office or you may call the school office (303 422-1800) to request that the form be mailed to you.

Once the Parish Verification form is obtained, it must be taken to the parish in which you belong (including Shrine of St. Anne) and must be signed by the pastor or his representative. The signed parish Verification form must be attached to your application form.

ARCHDIOCESAN POLICIES FOR ADMISSION OF NEW STUDENTS

According to Archdiocesan Policy #2000:
“All Catholic preschools, elementary schools and Archdiocesan high schools are open to students who sincerely seek a Catholic education and meet the requirements listed below. Because every Catholic child has a right to religious instruction and formation in the Catholic faith, preference is given to Catholic students."

  A. No person shall be admitted as a student in any Catholic school unless that person and his/her parent(s) subscribe to the school’s philosophy and agree to abide by the educational policies and regulations of the school and the Archdiocese.

Whether Catholic or non-Catholic, the student must agree to attend religious classes and the religious activities conducted in the school.

  B. No student shall be admitted to any Catholic school unless s/he is deemed to have reasonable hope of successfully completing that school’s program. In doubtful cases, students may be admitted on a probationary basis with dates and criteria of evaluation clearly established in writing.

  C. Students shall not be denied admission to an Archdiocesan school because of a disability unless this disability seriously impairs the student’s ability to complete successfully the school’s academic accommodation for the disabled child.”
